About This Event

Ontario’s Electricity Future: nuclear, gas or renewables?
The Ford government is masiively ramping up polluting gas power AND doubling our nuclear fleet. Nuclear projects alone are expected to cost Ontarians $400 Billion, locking us into the highest cost, riskiest electricity for generations.

Meanwhile the rest of the world is choosing wind, solar and storage – in 2024, 92% of new electricity supply added around the world was renewable, in part because renewables + storage are 1/2 the cost of nuclear + gas.

Could Ontario transition to a fully renewable future? Join BPEG in conversation with Ontario Clean Air Alliance’s Director, Angela Bischoff, to hear how we could keep the lights on with wind/water/solar/storage.
